ehB are proud to help sponsor Milverton School mums who are raising money for a Ugandan School
The two Fiona’s are travelling to Uganda in June to volunteer at this school, which was first set up in 2007 and now has around 500 children attending.
They are hoping to raise £1,000 to help bring essentials - stationery such as pens, pencils, notebooks, clothing + materials to Ruhunga School in Uganda when they visit in June 2018.
They say – ‘The school currently has one classroom that only has walls and a roof but no windows, doors, plastered walls or concreted floors. That is their current priority for where money is needed.
One of our main aims is to show the girls / women how to be able to make reusable sanitary towels. At the moment the girls miss 1 week a month of school and reusable sanitary towels will ensure they can attend everyday.
At Ruhanga school, they are subsidised with the sponsor a child scheme where each child can be sponsored for £5 a month. This gives them porridge for breakfast which may be there only meal at school and a chance to attend school.
We are not just looking for monetary support. If anyone has children's clothing/shoes which maybe useful please get them to us so we can take out with us in June’.
The children of Milverton Primary School are also taking part by making a small card with a picture and a message of friendship to be taken out to the children. Each child has been asked to send in a ‘suggested donation of £1’ to go along with the card that will help to buy supplies for the school. This money will go a long way to buying simple items that we take for granted for our own children.
"Just a note to say many thanks for your work on our house sale and purchase. Your advice for the house buying process has been really valued and we are very happy with our new (old) house in Snitterfield."
