ehB Residential is celebrating its most successful month this year – with sales this August more than double those in the same month in 2018.
And while sales across the UK also increased year-on-year, the Leamington agency’s record summer is even more spectacular than those of other property firms.
The national trend showed a 6.1% increase in property sales this August, compared with those in the same month last year, but ehB’s rose by an impressive 144%.
Clive Thompson, office manager at ehB in Leamington said: “This was a record month for us – the most successful this year. Like elsewhere in the country, part of it was because people are bored with Brexit and just want to get on with their lives – and that includes not hanging about when choosing where they want to live. But that is just one factor.
“We had a very busy May with new listings and some of those completed in August. Many people had been holding back on buying and selling because of the political situation, but that pent up demand has been unleashed. Buyers and sellers decided they need to get on with living.
“Historically low mortgage rates, competitive lenders and the Help to Buy scheme which offers new homes buyers hefty discounts have all helped.
“Of course, we’ve been blessed by having some wonderful properties on our books which have been particularly appealing to our house hunters in Leamington and the surrounding villages.
“We also wonder whether yet another sunny English summer has encouraged more buyers and sellers to stay at home – meaning they are on hand to deal with legal queries during the sales process.
“Now this flood has started this means September is an excellent time to put your own house on the market if you’re toying with moving.”
"Dear Mark, Ros and the ehB Team, We can hardly believe we are moving from Cliffe Way today after 54 years. It was a difficult decision to make and you were a great help to us in making it all happen. Many many thanks for everything you have done and best wishes for the future."
